RESEARCHED BY PETER KILLACKEY
CONVICT - WILLIAM HINDLEY
FIRST FLEET TRANSPORTEEb. 1766 - d. ??
William was tried at Ormskirk in Lancashire on the 18th of July 1785, for stealing clothing worth an unknown value.
William was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. He supposedly left England with the first fleet on board the Alexander.
William's occupation was recorded as a labourer.
There is some contention on whether or not William actually sailed with the fleet.
