Install Spybot-SD below for protection against Spyware. It is certainly the best anti-spyware program I've seen and is total freeware. Spybot will scan your hard disk for spyware files and will also keep you permanently protected against malicious sites and unwanted Windows settings changes.

Click on the blue install links above and choose "
Open" when prompted.
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Be sure to tick the Tea-Timer option as this is a key protection tool as well. It's worth reading more on this program by clicking on the program's name above.
Where to install files: Let Spybot-SD decide where it should install (keep clicking "Next"). It will install under "Program Files" and any click-easy links I provide above will work as they should.
