Install AVG Free Anti-Virus « « BACK
The last important program to install is AVG Free
AVG Free is by far one of the best anti-virus programs around, made to protect you against virus and trojan type files (AKA Nasties!). Even better, it is totally free for home users. More information is available by clicking on the program's name.
•   AVG Free - Anti-Virus software.     Install »
Click on the blue install link to visit the AVG Free site. Download the freeware version of AVG. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Once installed, AVG will prompt you to restart your computer. DO NOT restart at this time. Once you do restart, AVG will run through the setup wizard to permanently protect your computer (if all goes according to plan that is).
Where to install files: Let AVG Free decide where to install itself (keep clicking "Next"). It will install into a folder under "Program Files" and the click-easy links I provide on this and other pages will work as they should.
