ADJUSTING VOLUME LEVELS

FOR RECORD SOUNDS ONTO YOUR COMPUTER

In order to record sounds first you are going to need to understand how to use the mixer.
The little yellow speaker handles all of your volume levels and also your recording levels and inputs.. Double click on the speaker icon located near your computer clock (bottom right of screen).

This is the main Volume control panel.

Access Recording options by clicking
on Options > Properties.

From here you can access both
Playback or Recording settings.

Add or remove components from list below.

Choose Recording and click on OK.

This level adjusts the recording levels.
Now you know how to adjust your levels you can use Audacity to record sounds from any input device on your computer. Click on Software > Audio Editors to install it.
