It doesn't really matter what goes into your web site to start with, the point is to get it started and create it as you go! Getting a website up with even your basic information gives you a much better chance of search engines listing your site for free. Once your web site has been created, it will still take months before all of the main search engines will actually surf in and catalogue your site, but, in the meantime you'll have made your site so much better.
It's worthwhile noting here that domain names are fast disapearing so if you can find the domain name you want, jump on it while you can. If you can't find the domain name you want, you can wait until you're happy with your web site's layout and ready to upload, then you'll need to get your web address and then get your site hosted.

Decide to spend a whole day thinking about nothing but your web site. Grab a pen and some paper and start jotting down some ideas, or better yet, fire up notepad and start typing. Think about the things you should include and the things you want to include. What colour you should use and write it all down. Whatever comes to mind, as you think of an idea, write it down. Comments you want to make, write it down.
