| OPTIONS - SEARCH ENGINE SUBMISSIONS |
| Major search engines such as 'Google' and 'Yahoo' keep a list of web site locations and content. When users of their site type in certain keywords, their search engine searches its database and creates a list of all the links that it knows of containing those keywords, and displays them to the searcher.
If any of those keywords were found on your page then your site will be in the search engine list somewhere, but again, only if the search engine knows of your web site's existence.
Once your site has been created it will take a long time before all of the main search engines actually go through your site, even then, this will only occur if it finds a link to your site from a different page that is in its list. If you sit there and do nothing then over time you will be found anyway, some search engines do scour the Internet looking for new sites but this process takes even longer. After a year or two of simply being there, you can safely assume your site will have been catalogued by some sites
You can hurry this process by submitting your site to the search engines themselves rather than waiting for them for find you. A web site submission can be manually done for free which takes between 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on the search engine.
There's around 2,500 legitimate places on the Internet where you can list your site for free so just imagine the time it would take. We do offer this service, charging a fee per 200 submissions, the first 200 will cover all the relevant sites within Australia and only 'big time' site promotions would require the rest.
