"Autumn" A lovely time of the year to have a wedding.
So why not make it a wedding to remember by having a Easter theme and let everyone
go over board on an Easter bonnet.
Location
Garden, marquee. A marquee may be best as it tends to be cold at Easter
time.
Invites
Choose a card reflecting your wedding colours. You could make make your own
cards in the shape of Easter eggs or fluffy yellow chicks. Send your card together
with a small Easter Egg.
Decor
Decorate walls with daisy chains make them with yellow and white crepe paper.
Cover tables in pale yellow or autumn green and white. Attach tissue primroses
to lengths of satin ribbon and drape around tables or wind around poles in marquee.
Make name cards in the shape of Easter eggs and chicks. Make table decorations.
A flower arrangement in a small woven basket with a silk bow attached to the
handle. Fill modern translucent plastic coloured vases with yellow tulips. Have
someone dressed as a Easter bunny to hand out Easter eggs.
Brides attire
Opt for a nice soft fabric dress like, chiffon. Choose colours like pale
yellow, ivory or white. Add beading and lace to the bodice. Wear autumn flowers
in your hair.
Grooms attire
A white suit would go lovely with the Easter theme. But if it`s too daring
Have the shirt, and waist coat matching with your outfit.
Flowers
Early seasonal yellow and white flowers include daffodil, narcissus, lilly
of the valley, primrose, forsythia, lilies, freesia, iris, hyacinth, ranunculus
and tulips. Mix a lot of green in with the bouquet. A bunch of tulips tied with
ribbon makes a striking bouquet.
Cake
Have figures of the bride and groom emerging from two halves of a golden
Easter Egg. Have lemon icing on your cake, with small chicks iced around each
tier and a large fluffy chick on the top, standing in a nest with the bride
and groom.
Favours
Give mini baskets with, Cadburys cream eggs, mini fluffy chicks, and an
Easter card.
